Damien DiPola wrote a fabulous review about our trattoria located in Boston’s North End. He explains, “Trattoria Il Panino is the kind of place that one would expect to find along the Amalfi Coast. It is a warm, friendly, non pretentious, and food focused environment.”
It has always been the goal of Frank DePasquale to create a welcoming environment in all of his delicious Italian restaurants in the North End. While we aim to provide authentic Italian food unlike any other restaurant in Boston, we do this without the hefty price tag. Our authentic Italian restaurant isn’t filled with over-done dishes, outlandish décor or garnishes that guests have never heard of. We want each and every guest to feel completely at home when they step inside our trattoria.
Twenty years ago Frank DePasquale opened Trattoria Il Panino and trained the staff to create memorable and innovative Neapolitan dishes. From our Fried Zucchini Flowers to the Melanzane alla Parmigiana, we have something for everyone. While our Eggplant Pie looks similar to a think wedge of apple pie, it sure isn’t sweet. This delectable dish includes a thinly sliced egg-dipped eggplant, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and San Marzano.
