5-Star Reviews for Trattoria Il Panino in October

We are always striving to serve our customers better and each review helps us get better each day! Here are a couple of reviews from our well-satisfied customers!

“Ah it was a classic evening… from meeting good friends from the Philippines to having dinner at this legend of an Italian restaurant. Words arent enough to describe the flavor, the aroma and authenticity of the food. Be it the superb flavored Calamari Friti, the irresistable Ravioli Porcini, the filling Chicken Parmigiana, the delightful Frutti De Mare or the rich textured Gnocchi dish this place wont disappoint. My friends from the Philippines loved the Veal and my vegeterian friend loved the Penne Rabiatta.
The flavors were top class and the evening unforgettable!”

“Absolutely ! The perfect meld of meats, crumbs, cheese, spices… even the ricotta crema on the side was seasoned to perfection! And the wine list… again a score! Open for lunch on Sunday… a rarity as it turns out on the North end. While I didn’t try the pasta- it came served in a fry pan- share with a few amici! Buon appetite!”

“We made OpenTable reservations for after the theater. We happened to arrive about 45 minutes before our reservation time. We were asked to wait a few minutes and they would be able to accommodate us early. It took about 5 minutes. We were shown to a table downstairs. Because of the low ceiling and rock/cement walls, it was a little loud but not unbearable. I am not supposed to have red sauce but decided to have the meatballs as an appetizer. There were 2 … perfect for our party. And, they were wonderful. And, no after effects!! Both of us ordered the lobster ravioli as our entree. I have been to Trattoria Il Panino before but the other person in my party had not. I had the lobster ravioli before and loved it. I hoped it wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t! Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. There were 5 large raviolis (I could only eat 3, after having the meatball) but my companion ate all 5. I took my remaining 2 home and reheated them for lunch a couple of days later. They were just as good as the original night. I really like the presentation of the ravioli in the frying pan. The host and the waiter were very accommodating to all of our requests and needs. As I said, I had been to Trattoria Il Panino before and was surprised when the entrance was not on Parmenter Street. Apparently, the restaurant has been expanded (the entry off Hanover Street and the bar area looked “new”. I would definitely return if I lived in the area. Hopefully another special occasion will require another visit!”

“OMG, I had the Ravioli Porcini with wild mushrooms in a creamy truffle sauce. One bite and my eyes rolled back in my head! Outstanding! The other two meals at our table were also very good but mine was the best. 🙂 Tip–the downstairs is much more quiet than upstairs. It was a beautiful evening so all the restaurants on Hanover had the doors and windows open (wonderful).Definitely make a reservation. Very good service and mid-range prices. The restaurant was almost full and I did not see any children. Only a block down the street you will find Mike’s Pastry shop open very late if you want a different dessert or something for breakfast the next day.”
